Astron was created from Seiko’s passion for innovation, and now, with the design theme of ‘Solidity,’ a series of solar timepieces have been created for the innovative future ahead for Seiko watchmaking. This timepiece is limited to 1,200 pieces worldwide, lightweight with strong looks, the super hard-coated titanium case and bracelet, aluminium and ceramic bezel, and dual curve sapphire glass crystal are designed for durability.The silvery grey dial showcases an orange-accented vertical subdial layout and horizontal line patterned solar cell. This model has a contemporary feel, with its sleek lines, slim profile, and compact, angular design it has an almost seamless flow from the case, through the lugs and to the bracelet. This piece was designed to have a low centre of gravity, making comfortable on the wrist and the bracelet is crafted from titanium and ceramic for lightweight wearing. The micro-adjustable clasp feature adds a more personalised fit.This design is powered by the new in-house 5X83 solar-powered movement, which not only charges efficiently, but also features a 1/20th of a second chronograph function for measuring elapsed time.
